The Reproductive Needs & Fitness (RENEF) Foundation is more than just a non-governmental organization; it’s a community lifeline in Ghana, established in 2016. Our mission is rooted in compassion and dedication to tackling public health and social challenges through advocacy, education, and hands-on support. We focus particularly on sexual and reproductive health, working closely with various groups, from businesses and civil society organizations to international partners and government bodies. Together, we launch campaigns and initiatives that truly make a difference in people’s lives. Over the years, we’ve empowered many – from schoolchildren to young adults, and especially individuals with disabilities, all through tailored programs designed to uplift and support.
Founded by Mrs. Grace Antwi in the Sunyani East Municipality of the Bono Region, RENEF was envisioned as a response to essential gaps in reproductive health, physical fitness, and human rights. We believe in the power of education and advocacy as tools for transformation. Our approach to health is holistic; we intertwine physical wellness with reproductive health education. Our programs prioritize maternal and child health, promotes mental well-being, and guarantee access to crucial health resources. Beyond health, we are passionate advocates against gender-based violence. We stand with survivors, push for legal changes, and foster community discussions to challenge harmful norms. We pay special attention to marginalized and underserved populations, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs addressed. Through meaningful partnerships with local and global organizations, RENEF is expanding its impact. We are committed to creating a society where everyone has the chance to lead a healthy, empowered, and dignified life. Today, RENEF symbolizes hope and positive change in the Bono Region, recognized for our unwavering commitment to public health, human rights, and community development.
